Maya Foundation’s objective is to work primarily with underprivileged children in Bangladesh by giving them shelter, education and health care. Our vision is to build a secure and healthy society for the children where they get equal opportunity to expand their talents regardless of their race, religion, language, gender, disability or class.
Our purpose is to provide food and other basic necessities of life including education and health care via sponsors. Maya Foundation is affiliating with Utsho Bangladesh in Dhaka and will be working with them going forward managing the children’s education and to advocate their rights.
Maya Foundation is also taking the initiative of redistributing Zakat and Fitr from individuals from around the world. All the Zakat proceeds will go to the children’s school to fulfill their needs, no operating costs deducted.
The purpose of the Maya Foundation is to host events to educate Canadians and promote awareness about Bangladesh and establish a strong link between Canadians and those Bangladeshis who are dependent on financial aid as a result of industrial accidents, natural disasters and other types of disasters. One of the main ways Maya Foundation plans to accomplish its goals is through fund-raising events.
Everything is very true:) I do petrty much the same. And I had petrty bad experience in past of appearance with no scarf and in a short T-shirt in a very remote village. 200 men of all ages and no single woman. That was fun:)I really like your blog.
